Carleton County Animal Shelter volunteers help with cleaning and maintaining the facility, as well as, feeding, grooming, handling, transporting and exercising the animals.

Every year we participate in numerous fundraising events, including our Annual Carleton County Animal Shelter’s Furball Dinner & Auction, Pet Photos with Santa and different raffles.
We’re always looking for those extra hands to help out with these events.

Fostering.
From time to time, there is a need for a Foster Home to reduce overcrowding of the shelter and make space for more animals to be saved. Another reason is the preparation of animals for adoption, giving them a chance to live in a safe home where they can fully express themselves and work to overcome any fears or recover from trauma.
